Ended up getting some goku on delivery and was mad impressed. I don't like delivered ramen since for me a big part of the ramen experience is the ambience of izakayas, the nice bowls and of course ramen served hot and fresh, but goku sent us some excellent ramen! Noodles were on the thinner side but had excellent al dente consistency. Nori, scallions, the egg all melted wonderfully in the broth for both the garlic pork and the vegetarian ramen. The Goku spicy rating all the way at the highest level is no joke btw, tread carefully. Make sure to get some water after as well, the sodium levels tend to be high and your heart might just race a little, not a meal to be had daily.
Had a flight get cancelled so checked into the hotel and did DoorDash as I was famished. Ordered chicken karaage and Rich Tonkotsu Ramen that came piping hot and both were delectable. San Fran was a bit cold that night and this made it all the more better and ended the night nicely. For sure would return and dine in next time.
This place is one of our favorite, excellent ramen places. I really appreciate the cute packaging for the ramen, and the fact that they separate the soup and the broth. 1) Veggie Ramen. Was too salty and the noodles are different than the noodles in the Tonkotsu. If you want the Tonkotsu noodles, make sure you request them. 2) Kakuni Tonkotsu Ramen. Wow, they give you a lot of meat with this ramen! Was really impressed with the size of the Kakuni. Broth tasted delicious. The noodles were slightly undercooked. This was great because we ended up reheating in the microwave (not the restaurant's fault, we live a bit far away). 3) Rich Tonkotsu Ramen. Was able to sub chicken chashu, which is healthier. Thanks for supporting the sub! 4) Potstickers -- $1 per potsticker is a bit steep.
Not sure why some people left bad reviews. I had their Kakuni ramen and it was amazing. It's actually on par with Marufuku in Japantown, plus no line. Service was good. Good music too.
